As
a small village school it is important that parents are unselfish and
considerate when parking as this has a major impact on the children's
safety, local residents, and other road users. This also sets
a good example to our children.
 |
Most schools have a problem with inconsiderate and potentially dangerous parking at school times, however at Stanbury we are pleased that most parents, like all of the children, understand the importance of safety and respect for others in the community - and are very sensible when parking for drop off/pick up. |
This means:
- Do not park directly
outside the school in the no parking zone as this puts our childrens
lives in danger and causes severe delays due to traffic blockages in
the village
- Do not park
across local residents access in condideration for their right of access
to their homes
- Do park in
the Friendly pub - The owners kindly allow parking in the pub
car park at school drop off and pick up times
- Do park in
a sensible manner at appropriate points on main street
As parents, I am sure none of us would
intentionally put our, or other children's lives at risk in order to avoid
a thirty second walk.
