PE and Sports Premium

At Stanbury Village School, we are committed to providing our pupils with a high-quality physical education (PE) and sports experience. The PE and Sports Premium funding is designed to enhance the quality of PE and sport in primary schools, ensuring that all pupils engage in regular physical activity and develop a lifelong love for fitness and well-being.

What is the PE and Sports Premium?

The PE and Sports Premium is additional funding provided by the government to primary schools to improve the quality of PE and sport. This funding allows us to:

  • Increase Participation: Ensure that all pupils engage in at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day.

  • Enhance Staff Skills: Provide professional development for our staff to improve their confidence and skills in teaching PE.

  • Broaden Opportunities: Offer a wider range of sports and activities to all pupils, catering to different interests and abilities.

  • Promote Competitive Sport: Increase participation in competitive sports, fostering teamwork and resilience among our pupils.

Our Commitment

We believe that physical education is vital for the holistic development of our pupils. Our PE curriculum is designed to be broad, balanced, and ambitious, providing opportunities for every child to thrive. We aim to create a positive environment where pupils can enjoy physical activity, learn new skills, and develop healthy habits.
